Read these question and answer either Yes or No.

  • I am clear as to my role as a stepparent
  • My partner and I agree on most issues regarding the stepchildren
  • I have a working relationship with the biological parent
  • My needs as a partner are being met
  • I enjoy being with my stepchildren when they come over
  • We have clear boundaries within our stepfamily relationship
  • I handle stress very well
  • I have a strong support system that I can depend on when things get hectic
  • I take care of my needs on a regular basis
  • My partner and I nave a clear understanding around discipling the children
  • I am able to constructively deal with my frustrations and anger
  • My partner and I contructively deal with our parenting conflicts
  • My relationship with my stepchildren is respectful
  • I have no problem asking for help

If you answered NO to 8 questions or less, then look at where you can improve on your relationship and get some additional support. You might be ready for some of the more advance programs of Group Coaching.
