What is Claudette up to?

You may be wondering why sometimes you see me on Facebook or Twitter for many days in a row and then Pouf! I’m gone. Well I have to tell you, after having three engagement parties (Yes that’s 3, within 6 months), marrying my oldest stepdaughter in May and then having another wedding at the end of August and then in September, I’m getting a little out of breath.
Yes, we have another wedding. Stepdaughter #2 is getting married at the end of August in Montreal and we are really happy for her. As she is juggling her booming career, taking personal development courses and putting her soon-to-be-husband through University, she is in the midst of buy a condo and preparing to get married. So you see, we tend to be a family that doesn’t let much grass grow under our feet. Luckily my son’s wedding will be in a few years from now. Right?
And just to add some fun to all of this, my husband and I do renovation jobs in our house so that we may enjoy it before we decide to sell our home in 4 to 5 years time. So, it’s not that I am ignoring you, it’s just that I’m a little busy at times. Isn’t life great?
But I must say that my first passion (after my husband and kids of course) is my work. I truly love coaching and that’s one place I spend a lot of time on. I constantly thrive to improve on the work I do and the best way for me to do that is by taking courses and hiring coaches to help me.
Yes, I have a coach, in fact I have two of them (actually, I have a few more coaches helping me but in different capacity). In the next six to ten months, I am being coached so that I may help you, my readers, better. It’s easy to fall into the trap of wanting a lot of things but it’s so different when you create a plan and the steps to follow through.
A few days ago, I was at a coaching conference where I met some of the best coaches in our industry. Some are well known and others are more behind the scenes, but what I learned is that this profession is a vibrant and inspiring way to move people forward to achieve their highest potential.
When I shared my vision with some of my fellow coaches, I was blown away with the power of just putting it out there and have people help me to be accountable for my words. Now this isn’t just words that float inside my head, this is becoming something very real and tangible.
Well, I guess what I’m trying to say is that, if you thought I was busy before, I guess I’ll be even busier now, but in a very focused way. And all of this is because I care so much about you, my reader. I believe in giving the best of myself at all times and surrounding myself with people to help me achieve this is what I’ve done.
So in the course of the next months, I’ll be sending some brief emails about what I’m up to and may even ask for your support at times. You are very important to me and I value your feedback. I may not write as often I would love to but I will stay connected some way, through either some tweets or my blog. Look for some of my updates and help me by asking me how is it going? Being accountable to you helps me a lot to stay focused of what my life vision is all about and that’s helping the world be a better place for you and me, one person at a time.
