Day two of our trip to Key West

We are off. We left Saturday morning with all our stuff packed for my stepdaughter’s wedding. WOW! A lot of stuff is needed. I had not realized all that we were to bring, but we are happy to be a part of such an important day.
Just to make a very short list of what we’re bringing to Key West, we have the groom’s suit as well as my husband-the dad. We have the flower girl’s dress and her shoes. That’s my granddaughter. We have the wedding dress that lies flat on our bed as we are driving during the day and hangs from a tall cupboard handle at night. We have the programs and the wedding favors. We even have with us the rehearsal party wine and nick nack from the grooms parents.
We have everything we need to have a wedding except for the bride and groom. We are the official designated Wedding shipping service. As we drive down from Emporia VA to Yemassee, South Carolina, we are enjoying the time together, my husband and I, talking about what this means to us, to have our fist one married in less than a week’s time.
You might be wondering why we are stopping there, in Yemassee. This is where we will be stopping for our second night on our trip, to visit Savannah and enjoy nice campgrounds along the way.
Tomorrow, I will tell you more about our campsite and what we visited in Savannah. I also want to mention that I will be putting out my newsletter a few days earlier, to commemorate Mother’s day. This month’s topic is about what does Mother’s Day mean to you as a stepmom? Do you feel included or excluded in your family in regards to Mother’s day. If you have not yet signed up for my free monthly newsletter, sign up at www.coachingsteps.com. As a thank you gift, you will receive a special report.
